Senior Pastor
Chris Arch
Chris is the Senior Pastor at Good News. He has been at Good News since January 1997. He and his wife Carol have raised 5 children, and are now enjoying 10 grandchildren! Chris' hobbies include woodworking, gardening, lifting & long walks.
Associate Pastor
Richard Wootonn
Richard is the Associate Pastor at Good News. He has been at Good News since June of 2004. He has an awesome wife, Sheila, two adult married children and one granddaughter. He likes reading biographies, working in the yard and building anything with his hands.
Assistant Pastor
Zach Ilten
Zach is grateful to be married to his wife, Becca. They have five kids: Lucy, Micah, Henry, Levi, and Alice. Zach was ordained to pastoral ministry at Good News Bible Church in 2020. He graduated with a Masters of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His hobbies include reading, playing guitar, writing songs, and listening to music. Zach is also the director of Coram Deo, a classical Christian educational program in Iowa City.
Secretary
Amy Barker
Amy has been the GNBC Secretary since February of 2016. Amy and her husbad Ralph have 2 grown kids,1 energetic blind dog and are enjoying being empty nesters. Amy also serves on the women's steering committee and is active in fitness, runs her own photography business and loves to read.

Barry Bedford
Barry and his wife Roxie, were founding members of Good News Bible Church in 1973. Barry has been an Elder for 50+ years. They have 3 children and 13 grandchildren. He is retired from a 43 year career in law enforcement.

Jim Mays
Jim and his wife Sharon have been married for 35 years. They have two daughters, Lena and Ellen. Lena is married to Jason Sherman and they have 4 children. Ellen was just married to Aaron Johnson in October of 2025. Jim is a retired math teacher with 43 years in teaching and 10 years in test development at ACT.

Jon Miller
Jon has been attending GNBC along with his parents his entire life. He met his wife Maggie while she was visiting the church back in 2009. They soon began dating and were married in 2011. They have 4 children: Charles, Evelyn, Piper, and Vivienne. He co-leads a SCL on Sundays as well teaches at the Awana program. Jon is currently a Journeyman in the HVAC industry. His hobbies include painting, sports, and fitness.
